Aman: Would you please tell me the condition of illiteracy in Bangladesh?
Myself: A large number of people of our county are illiterate.
Aman : What harm can it cause to the society?
Myself: It is the root cause of ignorance that frustrates all government and community development efforts. Development efforts can only succeed if illiteracy is eradicated.
Aman: How can we get rid of illiteracy?
Myself: People need to be made aware of the importance of literacy. Primary education should be made compulsory and more Community Learning Centers should be established to teach adults and out-of-school youth.
