Information technology (IT) is the use of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve, transmit and process data. It also means other information dissemination technologies such as television and the telephone. Electronic computing machines began to appear in the early 1940s.
Digital networks work on the basis of information technology. With the development of high-tech mass media, the world has become closer. Now we can know in an instant what is happening in the farthest corner of the world. There are many benefits of information technology in education today.
Technology can benefit, enrich and deepen students’ basic skills. By enabling students, it helps them grow into computer literate adults. This computer literacy helps young people gain knowledge in a wide variety of fields. This use helps create a nation that is educated and successful.
An important advantage of information technology is its ability to reduce paper consumption in the office. Internal memos and reports can be shared electronically without the use of paper. Being a computer-based messaging system, files prepared on computers can be instantly copied and easily shared.
This facility can greatly increase office efficiency. However, information technology has caused revolutionary changes in the modern world of communication.
